This oral communication aims to present the main outputs of the BVOC (Biogenic Volatile Organic Compounds) flux measurement campaign performed on a maize field in Belgium. It begins by highligthing the interest of investigating BVOC exchanges on maize; then measurement techniques are briefly presented. The second half of the communication aims to present and discuss the main outputs of this measurement campaign (similar BVOC composition, lower exchange rate than other maize and cropland/grassland studies, significant importance of soil in ecosystem exchanges, strong differences between exchanges rates observed in this study and those used by up-scaling models).
